im generally a fan of dyson products, but they’ve gone too far with this toothbrush shit. anyone who spends $500 on a toothbrush deserves to get scammed, frankly

im glad the air is an option and it is a marvel of engineering, but i like my chunky phones and i’m glad that we aren’t forced to accept a compromise for thinness like back in the day my real take is that they should bring back the mini though :(

its cool how basically nobody has decent warranty service these days. getting a warranty replacement or repair is a huge pain in the ass for the majority of consumer products, even if you bought it at a major physical retailer

sakura 🌸 @sakura.perfectgra.de · 26/09/2026

i think about getting a physical 2FA key all the time, but i think i could only be comfortable if i had multiple backups in different physical locations, or if one of them was an implant. knowing myself, i would end up locked out somehow if my backup plan wasn't airtight

Yes shareholders, as you can see, we've updated Purah's design to include what we believe our players call "Fujoshi Glasses". We expect the currently untitled Breath of the Wild threequel to sell at least 60 million units, twice that of the first Breath of the Wild.

AITA for correcting my girlfriend's family every time they mispronounce my turtle's name?
I have a turtle named Geoff. Yes I know Geoff is normally pronounced Jeff. His isnt. My girlfriend's family knows this and still calls him Jeff basically every time his name comes up.
His name starts with /dz/ instead of the normal American English J sound /d3/. So regular Geoff/Jeff is roughly /dzef/ and his is /dzef/. They are similar but they are NOT the same consonant. /d3/ is a voiced postalveolar affricate and /dz/ is a voiced retroflex affricate. Basically you make the beginning of "Jeff" with the tongue farther back/retracted, which gives it a harder, deeper "dzh" sound.
I'm really into etymology and historical linguistics so the spelling was intentional too. Geoff is already a weird spelling from a modern English perspective because gives you basically no reason to predict /dzef/ unless you already know the name. Obviously I am NOT claiming medieval Geoffrey was pronounced / dzef/. I

how much better can it get than that?? they’re beloved, successful, talented and - in the grand scheme of Xbox, let alone Microsoft - pretty small! its not just short-sighted and ghoulish, its plainly fucking stupid

the xbox layoffs are egregious, but i would be far more compelled to believe that Asha Sharma has a real plan if it weren’t for the gutting of id Software. it is fucking insane to tear up a renowned, incredibly talented team that has produced hit after hit and maintains a stellar engine

somehow siri is slightly worse at grammar in ios 27, if i say “set a 30 minute timer for the washer” it literally names the timer “the washer” instead of “washer” and says “30 minute the washer timer, starting now”
