This is a good illustration of how so much of AI theft isn't indirect (ie, data sucked into a model to train the chatbot) - it's actually **direct** copying, but *enabled* by GenAI. Of course it is: chatbots absolutely suck at creating good, new stuff.

I've decided to compile a definitive thread of photos of the best trees I've photographed during my walks in the countryside, together with supporting biographical information. I will put the vital story associated with each tree in the alt text, since some of it is a little long to fit in a post.

A man I met high in the Peak District who, due to crimes he would not disclose to me, had been turned into two conjoined Sycamore trees by a coven of witches and condemned to spend eternity waving his useless branch hands at the cold, cruel sky.

i believe this is an amanita muscaria. white stalk mushroom, bright red head with white dots nicely spaced in the red. looks like a cartoon mushroom, like the same way all pizzas in cartoons are pepperoni pizzas, all mushrooms in cartoons are these guys

more amanitas. like 7 or 8 of various sizes in a couple clusters

3 amanitas, 2 are smaller & more round, the third looks older, color not as bright, edges split

more amanitas! on these ones there’s a bit of an orange outer ring type vibe going on, at least on the bigger flatter ones. i wonder if the little round ones and the big flat ones are the same type or if it’s two types here
