There are 3.4 million girls 14 and under in England. Elon Musk just wrote that 1 out of every 13 such girls is right now being “systematically raped by migrant gangs.” The man has gone utterly insane. He’s a sociopath. His latest post is—unambiguously—neo-Nazi rhetoric intended to incite violence.

Good to see some long-overdue attention to climate fund travel policies. Many developed countries make their civil servants fly economy, so it's only fair that international officials funded by taxpayers do the same. This money is supposed to help communities to deal with climate impacts.

“It should not have taken 30 years” says Minister Ryan as Dublin’s first continouslly segragated suburbs to city centre cycle route is opened
-- Minister questions if the incoming Government will fund public transport, walking and cycling enough to allow progress to continue. Outgoing transport Minister Eamon Ryan has said that planning and building Dublin's first continuously segregated suburbs to city centre cycle should not have taken 30 years. As reported yesterday, the opening of the Clontarf to City Centre Cycle and Bus Project means that it is now possible to cycle 12km from Sutton Cross to the city centre and Docklands.

Here's 5 people & 4 bikes you might cross paths with on a cold Saturday afternoon in Utrecht. 1-2 A parent helpfully holding his child while the wind blows hard. 3-4 Two young women, one carefully balanced on the back rack. 5 An Uber Eats driver, the only person on an ebike. Just ordinary people.
A photo of 5 people on a red asphalt-paved major bike lane where Sint-Josephlaan (40k vehichles/day) crosses Amsterdamsestraatweg (40K vehichles when it isn't under construction). Sint Josephlaan is the street that defines the northern boundary of Utrecht's outer ring road. Also interesting to note are the separate walk and bike signals and lanes at the crosswalk, the short crossing distances over 4 lanes of car traffic, broken up by a large planted median, clear sightlines for everyone, clearly marked stop lines, a turning zone for cars, good lighting, and an extremely well-maintained, smooth bike path and roadway.
