Ok, the word is in Merriam W, but I have to say that I
take exception to a word that is so unEnglish (also not a
word), when there are so many English words that might
have been the answer. What's more, it is a Japanese
word that refers to something Japanese! It's enough to
put me off Wordle, not that anyone will notice, or, if they
did, care.

I just burst a 327 day streak and I think I am done. Not a
fair word imho. Or as someone else said. at least for us
golden oldies. I had also never heard of BANAK which
wordle accepted when I was playing with letters.
Have a nice wordle life everyone. I probably will not be
back. At least for awhile. And I will probably get two
hours more sleep a night

Seriously- unless you're of Japanese
background, you may have never heard of this word. A real stretch here by the editors.
