The United States is now officially allied with Vladimir Putin and Russia. We will fund Russia’s genocidal war machine in exchange for Putin helping Trump and the Republican Party in the midterms. One of the most shameful and disgusting days in the history of this Republic.

It's particularly obnoxious that he should characterise getting Palantir out of UK state activity as 'mob rule'. It's precisely to ensure that we can operate as a sovereign democracy that we need to keep companies like that away from anything important.

Palantir is owned by fascists with strong links to a geopolitical adversary - the US - that is funding far right activity in the UK. It already has dangerous leverage over critical UK state functions. Tom Watson is a piece of shit who has ruined what reputation he had.

Kemi Badenoch wants to exempt the family home from inheritance tax. But that creates a perverse incentive for elderly people to *upsize* to save IHT. That could double the cost of the policy, and push £100bn+ from savings into housing. A 🧵 on bad tax cuts.

Worried about welfare costs? Bet they’re also in favour of the triple lock for the state pension which is a welfare benefit.
There are plenty of Conservative MPs who don't view this as a problem. "I've not heard any colleagues say they were worried about the nasty party stuff, one said. "In contrast, a lot of constituents say they are very worried about welfare costs."

A post suggesting that the 1980s saw a national recovery from the previous period -- entirely inconsistent with the facts.
