I'm trying to locate these original paintings - I didn't write down who had purchased them from me at the time. Purchased in Ottawa about 20 -25 years ago. I'm wondering if anyone has either, could you let me know? Thank you.

It's not just menhirs that enjoy continuing veneration. Many glacial erratics are on the routes of modern lithic pilgrims and assorted stone botherers. The deposited rocks serve to anchor folklore whether it's tales of Old Clip's anvil or boulders thrown by giants. – Dr. M. Benn

On 27th September 2023 I received my copy of "The Farming Landscape of the Westmorland Dales" with quite a few of my illustrations in it. It had been an interesting commission. #ArchitecturalIllustration #drawing #illustration #ArtShare
Cover of a booklet on the farming landscape of the Westmorland Dales, a part of northern England. Double page spread of a booklet with illustrations of a typical Westmorland linear farmstead, a turf built seasonal house for shepherds watching sheep on the higher fells, a horse mounting block and detail of a dated door lintel. Double page spread with a reconstruction drawing of a medieval farming landscape on the left. A double page spread with a drawing of a 19th century farming landscape on the right to compare with the medieval landscape also in the booklet.

Welsh poet RS Thomas died #OnThisDay in 2000. Here's a tribute by Rowan Williams (patron of the RS Thomas & ME Eldridge Society)…
Text of poem -

Deathship.
(In memory of R. S. Thomas)
The last years, words from a window smoothing the sea, the iron back and forth to probe the fugitive wrinkles carving a path down to the lost gate.
What hid in the pale clefts till now feels for the light, a soft uncertain lingering as if through stone, through furrows of flint.
The tides pressed neat as for an evening out: time to drag down a black boat from the shed, off through the gate, to balance on the slow sea at dark, ready to sail.
The smoke will rise, the cloudy pillar wavering across the sky's long page At dawn, somewhere westward, the boat flares in a blaze of crying birds.
- Rowan WilliamsA black-and-white close-up portrait of an elderly RS Thomas with tousled white hair and a deeply lined face, wearing a dark coat. He is looking slightly off-camera with a happy expression.
