the "don't bring iced coffee to an interview" discourse is great bc it's such a succinct and clarifying example of how private businesses aren't efficient & logical enterprises, they're just arbitrary in-groups ruled by sociopaths, power tripping on their ability to enforce pointless bullshit norms
