remember: it saved no net money, social services US citizens are getting cut, and left the US in a weaker place geopolitically. none of the debates about fiscal responsibility, obligation to US citizens first, or 'hard choices' actually apply. they're all bullshit. killed people for nothing at all.

I’ve also been trying out ‘fight fascism, get vaccinated’ and that actually has gotten a very positive response, lol. Some people I have had to make the connections that in getting vaccinated were taking care of each other and fighting disinformation and standing up to fascist dictators-

these states comprise less than 4% of the US population and they are asking SCOTUS to let them regulate medical care and commerce nationwide. meanwhile SCOTUS just held that the state of Hawaii lacks the power to say you need permission from a property owner to carry a gun on their property.

Doing the math, that means Congresscritters can pocket 100-133k/year in reimbursements without receipts, but poor folks have to jump through hoops to get food stamps or healthcare.

These ads go in the same category as brazen, easily disproven lies after ICE killings. It’s not about persuasion. It’s a display of power. They could have passed them off as PAC-funded. They added “paid for by the U.S. government” because they want us to know they can break the law with impunity.

There is criminal exposure everywhere you look in this administration, from the obvious of ICE murdering civilians in the streets, to more discrete stuff like insider trading or agencies funneling tax money into pro-Trump ads. This is what wanton corruption looks like, and the hammer must fall.

Mother Jones magazine cover linking the Roberts Supreme Court to a revival of Jim Crow: a black judicial robe hangs next to a white KKK hooded robe with a hand reaching toward it; headline "The Southern Strategy" and subhead "Jim Crow was dead and buried. Then came the Roberts court."

Talking recently to family members of people snatched up and expelled to third countries by ICE, I learned: 1) All of those captured were in 287(g) jurisdictions; 2) None of the family members had known what 287(g) was and had erroneously thought people with no arrests were safe.

A key component of the Cambridge Analytica outrage was your friends subjecting you to data theft without your consent or knowledge. Facebook is running the same playbook on your text messages. Even if you’re not on Meta properties, they’re ingesting your interactions.
Aten installed Muse on both his iPhone and a Mac mini that he uses to test out various Al agents and tech. It took Meta a single day to begin "helpfully" pitching article ideas based on texts he'd sent to a podcast co-host.
When he asked Muse how it got the information, it said that it read banners from incoming texts. But that's not true, either.
After doing a little digging, Aten says Muse synced 187,000 lines from his Messages database, despite Full Disk Access being Off.Unless Aten is the most popular person on the face of the planet, I sincerely doubt he'd gotten 187,000 lines of text in roughly 24 hours. What happened is that, without permission, Muse went into the app and downloaded the information.
He had not given Muse permission to access Messages, and full disk access was not enabled. It just went ahead and uploaded those texts anyway.
Muse can take "unexpected actions" indeed.

What Theodore Roosevelt understood and Franklin Delano Roosevelt perfected is that the President is a creature of the modern media. The attempt by the oligarch to control modern media through CBS and CNN is a product here. This is why a denial to give the SOTU on camera would be a disruption.
