Solar Energy Corporation of India just auctioned 1 GW of renewable power that has to match a coal plant's schedule — checked every 15 minutes, penalties for shortfalls. It cleared at ₹5.25/kWh (~$55/MWh), fixed for 25 years. New comparable coal PPAs opened at ₹5.38-6.30 plus fuel price inflation.

This may underwhelm some, but activating passive support is still a positive thing imo. The problem for climate in recent years is it might have a 15+ lead on most questions but support has been low salience, with opponents v fired up. I also think that 25% of antis is fairly dug-in at this point.
