Whenever I have heard about Bennu on the radio I just end up thinking of the character Benny (pronounced Bennu) from Danish TV show The Julekalender and/or Benny from Abba.

Benny is a balding, thin white man wearing a grey suit. As he is in his alter-ego as a nåså or evil elf, he has big teeth and ugly glasses. A Danish Christmas hearts and a small stuffed bird wearing an elf hat are in the background.

I’ve picked up some followers from cat bsky recently so I’ll introduce mine. Kaea is a 6.5 year old failed foster who arrived with me aged about 5 weeks. 3 years ago she broke one hind leg and it was amputated. Rua joined us in December and is just on a year old. He’s very bouncy and loving.

My 30+ year old memory was slightly wrong but I found the revolution cartoon! "How is it coming along with the revolution here in Norway" "Right now we are fighting about how it should be spelled."

Tried to explain Norwegian dialects to son last night while watching Norwegian TV. As a Danish speaker I can understand about 2/3 of it, but its not 2/3 of what each individual speaker is saying. I can understand 90% of what 2/3 of the speakers are saying but only about 10% of the other 1/3. 1/2

I got my first Scottish Adult Disability Payment review paintwork today. Is it really just ticking a box saying no changes? Is this a trick. I have so many years of PIP/DLA trauma. My original DLA award was lifetime and I’ve just steadily got worse but review periods got shorter and shorter.
