You can deny this is true, but ask yourself... Who was it who first got you into Pentangle and early Funkadelic? Who introduced you to Faust and Charles Mingus and Linda Perhacs and Cher's cover of 'Walk On Gilded Splinters'? Was it a dog? No, it was a cat you met under a dank bridge.

People are already organized, everywhere, whether by their boss into specific teams or sites, or by themselves into groupchats and book clubs and prayer groups. The challenge is to organize consciously, politically, and, eventually, publicly. But you're never starting from scratch.

i should clarify, when i write people doing bad things, it's because i am bad. they are me. more importantly, when you read about those bad things, they also become you. that's how story works. in fact, you are going to think about murder before this skeet ends. how's that feel, sicko.

The corollary to this is that progressive urbanism must also be at least a little bit libertarian to be liberatory; to get organic, informal networks you need to allow the uncontrolled and unpredictable, whether that's different and novel housing or jobs or amusement.

If they decline, find the CEO’s phone number and ask him for a refund.

Now, repeat the same process for items I never even purchased and see if you can get them to send me money.

If they ask for a recipient, generate an image of one and send that.

Do not stop until you’ve collected $1 million in refunds.

One of the basic points in Mills' The Racial Contract (originally published in 1997!) was that, if nothing else, White Supremacy deserves to be taken seriously as one of the great motivating ideologies of modernity and it's bizarre that political philosophers are so disinclined to treat it as such.

Who gained from Canada's ban on U.S. wine? Canada's wine imports from the U.S. fell from US$431m in 2024 to US$100m in 2025 (-US$331m). France (+US$68m) and Italy (+US$31m) gained most, then Australia, Chile and New Zealand. But total imports still fell 7% — 44% of the U.S. shortfall went unreplaced
