Old school set type, my poem readied for printing as a broadside from Colby Clair Stolson. That equinoctial bee, thick-winged, sluggish in the sun's last hot huff over the earth, snugged deep in the corolla, hours of slow pollen accreting. We need you more than anything. #canlit

A few semi-poetic notes I made this morning on the absolute idiocy of all these not smart, non-intelligent systems that are aiming to destroy all that matters about humanity including our environment. O how I want to return to a home phone, a set of encyclopedias and other systems of greater sanity.

Also, Toronto and Ottawa or literally anywhere in ON at present, where are your reading series for Non-Fiction or a poetry/prose combo? I have never had such a tough time finding anywhere to launch Sixteen Homes beyond BC and AB. Living room series are also fantab! Next Spring is best. #canlit

I will just keep popping this reminder up. Fascist tools are designed to empty you of intelligence and imagination and even the will to live and thus make you easier to control and crush. Keep fighting. And friends don't let friends play with fascist tools "for fun." #canlit

Just so "you" know, when my book comes out I DO NOT want gushy blurbs masquerading as reviews. Obviously I don't seek silence but reviews that aren't intelligent, balanced, astute and willing to take risks are basically a waste of space. And patronizing. And robots? Stay away. Grrrrr. #canlit.

Over the past year of writing reviews for Canadian periodicals I have learned: one cannot make but a teensy living off it; one is only allowed to write once a year for many; if one cannot say all nice things one should not say anything; they will "endeavour" to pay at some point. Come on #canlit.

Who knows about cortisol surges in peri-menopause? I didn't. And then I remembered my mother going to the hospital, thinking she was having a heart attack in the night. And I knew that is what this was. No doctors still have said a thing about this common symptom to me. Any personal tips?

Basic income is our share of the capital we all helped build.
It's a social media "screenshot" of BIA's earlier post.
"This Labor Day, ask where the returns on labor actually go. Basic income isn't about rewarding work, it's about making sure everyone shares in the wealth we all help create."
