What I find interesting about the news coverage of this story is that Knobloch is widely quoted. Why quote the president of the Jewish community in faraway Munich and not the nearby city Dresden the state of Saxony? Knobloch opposes Stolpersteine. As a result, Munich has none on public property.

If you define the centre as the far right, then there's no far right problem in Europe. The more likely conclusion is unthinkable: that centrists like Rachman have actually radicalised into the far right.
