I take no pleasure in the Lynx getting routed by the Liberty, but I did have a pretty strong suspicion it was gonna happen. Once you get all the concrete mismatch stuff out of the way, the Liberty are a team that absolutely fucking hates to lose and in the playoffs, that counts for a lot

Munetaka Murakami on how he deals with high pressure situations like the postseason:

"I think it’s important to just be honest with yourself about how you’re feeling in that moment. If you’re nervous, I don’t think you need to force yourself to not be nervous. And if you’re feeling the pressure, you don’t need to convince yourself that you’re not. What’s most important is to recognize and sort through those feelings, even while you’re out there on the field, and still be able to compete calmly. More than anything, I think it’s about trusting the preparation you’ve put in and everything you’ve experienced and fought through over the past year, and just continuing to do that without changing anything. That’s what I think is most important.”

Every day people whose brains have been completely boiled by social media are dripping with unjustified entitlement and moral superiority, and every one of them thinks they're "doing politics". It does no good to point out that they are mistaken, it's like telling a fish they're surrounded by water

There are plenty of reasons to doubt what is shaping up to be the 'official story' about RAF Fairford: the suspects are British nationals, they're out on bail, it's being called a "terrorist incident" even though nothing happened and no one was hurt, the only real sources are state ones, etc. But!

Speaking of Columbo (and always speaking of comics), I mocked these up on Tumblr right about when the podcast was wrapping up. Although he's cameo'd in a few comics, it's unfortunate to say that Columbo never starred in a comic strip of his own. I'm proud of the story titles and the fake NBC brand.
