Today I delivered another 18 bags (225 lbs!) of groceries from White Center Food Bank to 9 neighbors in White Center and Seattle for @cascade.org #PedalingReliefProject – we use volunteers with bikes and trailers to bring fresh food every week to folks with mobility and accessibility challenges 🚲 😍

I joined the D12 Bike Bus on their way to school this morning, and talked to Stu afterwards. The kids love being active, meeting their friends, getting fresh air, and being independent - all they need is for us to make the streets safer.

Our school doesn't just have a #bikebus, there's also a run club that meets, trains and runs to school together (another weekday). The parent organizer asked for a volunteer to drive all the kids backpacks to school. My husband said why drive when you could cargo bike?! 25 bags delivered this week.

I wish more people understood the political spectrum. The arguement to pull further right to “win” isn’t doing what they think it will. You can negotiate on a lot of things, but when you concede on human rights for any group “to win for dems” you are moving right. That’s what that is.

Researchers have been asking, why are pedestrian deaths going up, particularly driven by a spike in the dusk period? Well, right now it's 8:30 pm and I'm walking the baby to sleep, and every other driver I have seen is staring at their phone while rolling stop signs. Just a thought.

Good article calling out the costs & consequences of car-centric cities. Any traffic engineer or city planner still working to lock in car dependent sprawl is guilty of professional malpractice. People get confused about the trans sports thing because at a glance it seems like a small issue that impacts a very small number of people and thus makes sense as a "reasonable" concession. But it isn't, because conceding that is accepting that a kid's trans identity is on some level fraudulent
