The first Saturday ride is the Loons Loop from @bikemn.bsky.social! We meet 8:30 a.m., at Brackett Park for a kid-friendly river loop that’s just 4 miles long. It’s a collab with Joyful, Piecycle and Loons Coffee, where there’ll be free treats and coffee at the shop.

Our bike path made it easy to make a quick unplanned stop at Granville Island today, where we saw some art, got food, saw the leaves changing color... and bike parking made it even more accessible/easy. More cities should copy the bike valet concept in Vancouver BC 🇨🇦 it’s seriously amazing.
A photo of a bike parking sign that is bright and colorful and says:

Free Secure Bike Parking!
Open 10am -
1. Roll your bike up to the attendant.
2. Take your claim ticket (don't lose it!)
3. Enjoy the rest of your day knowing your bike, e-bike, scooter or cargo trailer is secured in our lockup (no lock needed)!

You know Jane Doe. Crime statistics say it’s 1 in 3, but it’s somehow every single woman I’ve talked to. You want to doxx someone? Go ahead and give them my name. Your sister’s. Your wife’s. Your mother’s.
Post by real-life king of dipshits @mtracey with the following absolutely horrific ask:

If you happen to know who this Cornell "Jane Doe" is, get in touch and I would be happy to publish her name and identifying information. And yes -- this is 100% permitted under the First Amendment, whatever threats or emotional blackmail people might want to deploy

(Back to my commentary) fuck him. Fuck this. I’m Jane Doe. Half the women you know are Jane doe.

It’s remarkable how many people can move on a street when those people don’t feel the need to always take a massive car with them. Mobility in cities is about space.
Busy European street with buses filled with people in a long line of people on bikes, waiting for the light to change in a separated, protected bike lane. Imagine if all those people or each in a separate car.

100% of people under age 16 are nondrivers. They live in every community and they deserve to be able to get around as much as anybody else. My only #WeekWithoutDriving trip today was the #DevonshireBikeBus. 1/3

Y’all I want to be really clear here. The reason saying “there’s more rapists at Cornell than trans people in sports” or saying “not a trans person” every time you see an incident of SA is so harmful is because you’re engaging with a stereotype.
