Had a close call today on Demonbreun at 12th, inches from being right hooked by a driver who “didn’t see” the giant light up NO RIGHT TURN arrow when the bike signal turned green. But sure, let’s get more data and community input 🫠

It's worth watching the meeting for another item. Greg Claxton had a really interesting slide showing that traffic counts have generally declined on our arterials and collectors over the past 25 years in areas where there are good sidewalks, bikeways, and frequent transit.

Lock in y'all, we're talking about East Bank Boulevard again. The Wasioto Bend MCSP amendment is going before the Planning Commission this afternoon. This amendment proposes a new street grid through the Wasioto Bend neighborhood, including the portion of East Bank Boulevard south of KVB.

Please watch this video. It feels very wrong to hold a "community meeting" to appease business owners who are once again trying to stall basic safety improvements on our streets, while one of our strongest and kindest advocates is literally in the hospital after being hit by a car driver.

It is borderline insulting how BNA hides the WeGo Route 18 bus stop in the very back of the garage as far away as possible from the entrance/exit. And they could fix it tomorrow by just moving the sign. There is an entire unused curb that has benches, shelter, and is visible from the door.

A great place for a bus to load and unload. It is visible from the ground transportation exit doors at Dolly Parton International Airport (aka BNA)

Updated routing that would allow the WeGo 18 to use the Hotel/Valet lanes to pull right up top the door instead of getting hidden away in the very back of the parking garage

It has been 100 degrees for weeks. All the outdoor pools are closed. We are down to two splash pads, both of which are also closed. Tried to take the kids to the East Community Center indoor pool during the only 2 hours it's usually open on weekends. It is now apparently closed on Saturdays.
