The first Saturday ride is the Loons Loop from @bikemn.bsky.social! We meet 8:30 a.m., at Brackett Park for a kid-friendly river loop that’s just 4 miles long. It’s a collab with Joyful, Piecycle and Loons Coffee, where there’ll be free treats and coffee at the shop.

MnDOT has identified revenue for roads of $37B over next 20 years and says it needs $15B+ more. So minimum $52B+, or $2.6B/yr. The MAX proposed amount in Bike+ Plan = $146M/yr.or. 5.6% Nowhere near enough.

Cities should be paying people to bike. Cities should be buying people e-bikes. Cities should be rewarding people for convincing neighbors to ride bikes. Every trip by bike is a net financial gain socially. And it compounds, the more people who do it.
