The goal of neoliberalism was never to "roll back the state" but to degrade society in order to produce corporate dependency. This is done by ensuring all state functions are placed in private hands, becoming another vehicle for wealth extraction beyond democratic accountability.

ive seen it mentioned a few places now that its apparently an "open secret" in the parliamentary precinct (including among media) that Winston Peters is struggling. If this is the case, then NZ voters are owed clarity on that, and it raises EVEN MORE questions about the constant PR coverage for NZF.

I will not only be relieved but truly *ecstatic* to be wrong, if more and better studies soon start showing that AI actually improves learning and cognitive motivation. But so far they all show the opposite, and that is consistent with the evidence that I and other educators are seeing on the ground

Yep, on track to be proposing privately built and operated workhouses by 2029. Also, when they say they will "prevent migrants claiming benefits for five years after entering the country", do they expect all migrants to have enough savings to cope if they're laid off within those 5 years? #nzpol

It should be very clear to all that there is no way in which we can "cut" our way to prosperity. And many things *require* investment and direction that only Government can deliver. No invisible market hands are coming to fix things.
