What Pablo Torre did was ridiculously impressive. Uncovered a conspiracy between rich guys, withstood a propaganda campaign by one of the richest guys in the world with a pretty good reputation, didn't buckle or panic, and just kept reporting. That's some Pulitzerin' right there.

AOC: Millennials are not punk kids anymore. We're grown adults with mortgages and kids, and that generation is starting to be decisive at the polls. And there is anger at being ignored, having our economic futures mortgaged by the generations that came before us and we're taking the reins

This is it right here. This is the shit people ignore. Trump is back in office and every single J6er got let out of jail. Why on earth would they NOT try it again. There were absolutely no consequences for doing J6. They won. They're back in power and the thugs are free.

there is a cohort of men who resent the responsibilities and obligations of adulthood — of the fact that you owe things to other people. it is a fundamentally childish impulse that they have reconfigured as the height of masculinity, and i think it informs the parasocial attraction to platner.

The existence of law implies some questions which already resolved and easily settled in court. If every question can go either way depending on what the president prefers, the only lesson is "law is fake."

This photo of Andy Kim in the moments before ICE gassed everyone at Delaney Hall is going into the history books. We need more of this from our electeds.
Senator Andy Kim runs into the street as an ICE armored vehicle behind him prepares to deploy chemical agents against protestors in front of Delaney Hall concentration camp in Newark, NJ. His hands are outstretched and he appears to be shouting.

Trump did not reach a settlement with the government. There was no case to settle. He has not created a slush fund. He has colluded with Todd Blanche to steal money from the US Treasury. This is not a “deal.” This is a crime for which Trump & Blanche must be prosecuted. It ia a crime.

Funny how after every SCOTUS ruling striking down some protection from government abuse, the officials those protections restrained — cops, prosecutors, Republican state electeds — immediately start acting in the precise manner SCOTUS assured us they no longer do.

"what could democrats do" break solidarity with their GOP colleagues once and for all by leaking comms with them and naming names. ask everyone in the caucus who can report conversations or even better, has texts or emails from them. perform a public vote count - headshots and expressed positions.
