When Joe Biden took office, America’s allies were willing to treat the first Trump term as an aberration. That ship has sailed. The world is no longer waiting for us to come to our senses, and the trust we squandered may take a generation to rebuild if anyone still believes we are capable of it.

Ignore the polls. Organize. Donate. Knock on doors. Register voters. Share your message. Fight for every vote as if you're ten points down. Complacency is not an option. The stakes are too high. Let’s do this.

When an agency like ICE builds an environment where red flags don’t matter, where violence is minimized, where accountability is optional, this is what it produces. What happened in Texas isn’t a one‑off tragedy. It’s a system functioning exactly as designed.

The White House press bans are a chilling, authoritarian assault on free speech. But corporate media can hardly claim victimhood after spending years cozying up to the very people now restricting access.

There’s obviously a lot going on right now, but a Russian oligarch bankrolling the wedding of the president’s son is the kind of story that should dominate headlines in any functioning political culture.

Twenty-five years ago today, 2,977 innocent lives were taken. In the years since, countless more were lost to illness, injury, and trauma. Families were shattered, but we also witnessed profound courage as ordinary citizens and first responders stepped forward to protect one another.

To take a day dedicated to shared national grief and use it to take petty, sarcastic swipes at Joe Biden says everything you need to know about JD Vance. He isn't clever. He’s just mean-spirited, hollow, and painfully insecure. And he will never, ever be president.

ABC paid millions to resolve Trump’s defamation suit. Meta paid millions over his suspended accounts. Now Google is reshaping its maps to appease him. When one corporate giant after another pays or pivots to stay in his good graces, the collapse of public trust isn’t an accident, it’s inevitable.

One of the clearest indicators of Donald Trump’s unpopularity is the list of places where he isn’t welcome. A former vice president’s funeral, a predecessor’s library opening, a 9/11 commemoration. At moments when national leaders typically anchor the country’s response, his absence says it all.

So incredibly sad to hear about Glen Hansard’s passing. A singular voice, a gifted storyteller, and one of the few artists who could make a room feel both bigger and more intimate at the same time. His music carried such spirit and generosity. A tremendous loss.
