remember: it saved no net money, social services US citizens are getting cut, and left the US in a weaker place geopolitically. none of the debates about fiscal responsibility, obligation to US citizens first, or 'hard choices' actually apply. they're all bullshit. killed people for nothing at all.

Saving grace likely being that there's no reason to believe he can build a robot army at all, much less one that teenager won't figure out how to brick within 48 hours of his deploying it.

NYT has now independently corroborated all the major allegations against Susan Collins in the ProPublica report, including that investigators were prepared to move against her and then Trump intervened to shut it down. This put Trump in a position of exceptional and extortionate leverage over her.

the truly crazy making part of all of this is that voter fraud EFFECTIVELY DOES NOT EXIST. you have a better chance of finding an actual leprechaun at the end of the rainbow than of finding evidence of voter fraud that influences an election

The thing about AI discourse is that a lot of times people aren't arguing about the technology, they're demonstrating which of the following things they think are more complicated: computers, the human brain, a field of potatoes. I saw someone call the brain "a wet computer."

AI won't kill people, people will kill people. You shouldn't plug a non-deterministic computer system you don't understand into anything that could kill us all, and smart, kind humans would never do that. But stupid, malevolent humans absolutely will. (TBC, I think existential risk is overblown)

No starker example of the media having different rules for each political party. If the press treated Elon Musk like Hasan Piker, every Republican in America would be forced to answer questions about why their party's biggest donor espouses anti-semitic race science.

Trump shits all over dead troops and they celebrate him. It was all a huge joke to them.
