Real definition of "terrorism" time: white guy killed 167 people and injured 684, but a Palestinian killed 13 people and injured 30, and they were mostly soldiers.

when I haven't slept well (up at 330), why's there a horrible phase in the middle of the day, from like 12-3, where my brain and body are bad and I generally feel bad, and then, weirdly, I get this second wind where I feel sort of ok and better for a chunk of hours before collapsing around 8?

Seems like if you're going to make a national story out of Hasan Piker, who campaigned a few times with the Democratic Senate candidate in Michigan, saying Israel causes antisemitism, you should also make a national story out of the favorite intellectual of the US Vice President supporting Hitler.

We all focus on Prop. 40, and that's not an accident. Villain-aires are funding a huge "NO on 40" campaign. But if their sneaky Prop 41 & 42 scams get more votes than 40, 40 fails. Then, as our state's medical care crisis unfolds, out comes the "government bad - time to privatize" stage of fascism.

I wish there was something we could talk about since the End of History, but it's just day after day of the same prosperity and plenty with minor tweaks here and there to keep us secure on this nice arc of history that is still bending neatly towards justice.

I would like to hear an argument against prop 40 that isn't either "Taxes as such are bad" or "There's an ideal version of this which would be better and in its absence, we should do nothing."

There isn't a "debate" over Prop 40. There's an intellectual and moral test you get to decide whether or not to pass. You get to decide whether you want people to die, and whether you want to talk about what is actually happening or just shit billionaire propaganda out of your mouth-hole.
