the phrase "millennial death drive" has been rattling around in my head since, on a call that had already gone way too long with my 23-year-old class project partner, i realized that at least 3 times, i'd mentioned the world potentially ceasing to exist within 5-10 years.

I'm under no illusions about how things are or what the trajectory is. But I'm also excited for the future because that is where I will hang out with the people I care about and do the things I like doing, or haven't done before. underrated part of El-Sayed’s messaging strategy seems to be shaming journalists who ask dumb questions that play into right-wing frames. you can’t answer these in a way that satisfies them, but you can make it embarrassing enough that you impose a toll on asking.

thing-i'd-like-to-vibecode: an app that tells you what country you need to VPN to in order to stream this or that thing. for services that allow it, it'd do a weekly scan of top movies/shows on each platform, and would add to a database anytime someone searched for something not-already-captured.
