Spending the last six weeks working with my trainer on body mechanics is a voyage of discovery. People talk about finding muscles they never knew they had with new fitness routines. I knew these parts of my body existed—but since my original knee injury—they’ve definitely been on vacation.

I’m not the first to say this, but that we got a station a Pinehurst before the infill station at Graham is telling. I’m also tired of the discussion about needing to replace 1:1 with parkland the public golf courses that are currently well located to our light rail stations. Laws can be changed.

I attended one of the better high schools in Oregon. I had very involved parents and specifically a mother with a masters in education. They were still not able to track many of the specific school challenges I either hid from them or didn’t know how to articulate.

I spent the morning putting a dent in my collection of kitchen clutter. I have a lot of things I no longer use — as I bake less than I did a decade ago. It’s interesting to think back to where I was during my last career crisis post 2007-2009 recession, which had me considering culinary school.

Okay so @defector.com has had an odd glitch since the site redesign a couple of weeks back where the wrong photo and headline are often put together on the main page and I was going to ask them about fixing it but this just happened and as far as I'm concerned they have to leave it as is.

For folks wanting to expand on the Macklemore/Ed Sheeran situation, I recommend the 1957 Albert Camus lecture "Create Dangerously," which u can find in this book. In it, he talks about the line good art must walk between frivolity & propaganda, & how art that insists on being a luxury becomes a lie.
