Last year, after having cancer several years before & having COVID likely multiple times, my sister-in-law suddenly died of aggressive late-stage brain cancer. Do we know for sure COVID played a role? Of course not. But since a scientific study confirms this possibility, we assume it might’ve.

If you use the term 'during covid', it's like saying 'during measles' or 'during flu'. It isn't an era with an end point. The time of covid is ongoing. If you mean 'during the time people bothered to try reduce the spread' , or 'in the first two years of the outbreak', then say so.

I revere Dolly Parton much as I do Fred Rogers. They’re people who made it their life goal just to be gentle and kind to everyone that they met. They are prime examples of how we all should behave and live our lives.

Do not normalize children dying from measles. Measles was previously eliminated in the US, thanks to vaccines. When children die from measles, it means that adults have catastrophically failed to protect them because they have rejected basic science.

When looking at the issue of anti-trans legislation, Parton said that “I try to get into the human element of it.” Pointing out that she has people in her life who identify as queer and trans, the 77-year-old star said it was important to hear what they’re saying.

“I know and love them all, and I do not judge. And I just see how broken-hearted they get over certain things and I know how real they are,” she said. “I know how important this is to them. I think that Dolly Parton was, for a lot of people, an ambassador of the "good" values people think of about the South: kindness, hospitality, can-do spirit, sharp and witty and down to earth. I think for a segment of people, too, she was theantithesis of a lot of noxious masculine country stuff.
