Decided to take myself out for lunch because it’s a beautiful day. And was feeling nice thoughts about Edinburgh in her autumnal splendor. Just stopped at a cafe on Canongate and was charged £14 for a jacket potato with beans and a can of Diet Coke. And once again I remember that Edinburgh sucks.

The best autumn weather today. Left the house at 7.30 to spooky chilly mist. And an hour later we have blue skies and glorious sunshine. But crucially it’s still pleasantly cool and crisp. Can someone press the big cosmic pause button?

Spent the day at a Fujifilm workshop doing some camera specific training with four other new Fujifilm owners. Considering the overwhelming numbers of buttons, dials and apparently infinite menu choices, it was great. My camera is now massively less intimidating. 📷

Photography homework: take pics of moving things at different shutter speeds and see what effects you get. Obviously neither of these are great, but I succeeded in my goal of "purposely blurry fast cars" and "purposely smooth-ish waterfall".
