Oftentimes yes, #pretendpanel . Some of my characters are based on specific actors, so I'll usually be imagining their voices for the characters (more on that in a later question!). Not all, but a few. Kallista's voice is deep and raspy. Geni's voice is soft and low.

Aside from cover art, I don't make all that much art inspired by my writing these days. Although I did make this "fan art" for the STONES OF AYOR characters (a video game series in LEVEL UP) because no one else is going to. 😂

It used to! I tried sketching and drawing my own settings and characters quite a bit when I was younger. I got... eh... decent-for-beginner for a while. I inevitably got frustrated, and didn't have enough time to properly practice visual art while fitting writing in around work. #pretendpanel

I’m not a stellar artist, but I enjoy playing with art. I often use writing as inspiration for art, and art as inspiration for writing. I’ve drawn my creatures so that I have reference materials and written short stories about monsters I’ve drawn.

#PretendPanel Sometimes I feel inspired but inspiration seldom turns into execution. If it does, it’s usually in the form of doodles or sketches. Alas, what I see in my head doesn’t transfer well onto paper. For that reason, I usually stick to mental images over physical ones. Way less frustrating!
