For the rhythm of the words. Sometimes a sentence will look perfectly fine. But when you read it aloud, it jars, and demands a rearrangement of words, maybe a replacement of some. And I find reading aloud can be a charm for creating next sentences.

Oftentimes yes, #pretendpanel . Some of my characters are based on specific actors, so I'll usually be imagining their voices for the characters (more on that in a later question!). Not all, but a few. Kallista's voice is deep and raspy. Geni's voice is soft and low.

#PretendPanel 🧵2/2 I’m more aware of the voices of secondary characters, like I would be of people around me. Some are more noticeable than others. I even went so far as to try to write some dialect for one recently!

It used to! I tried sketching and drawing my own settings and characters quite a bit when I was younger. I got... eh... decent-for-beginner for a while. I inevitably got frustrated, and didn't have enough time to properly practice visual art while fitting writing in around work. #pretendpanel
