Restoring ecosystems doesn't only reverse nature loss, it's THE most powerful ally we could hope for against both climate collapse itself, and its consequences. As a further plus, it makes life SO much more beautiful!! Rewilding should be a global priority 🌍

We've normalised children seeing exhausted parents for two hours a night, old people eating alone and adults needing permission to spend a sunny Wednesday with someone they love. None of this feels remotely sane to me.

Here's the serious bit for anyone who'd rather skip the 4000 words of jokes
Because the truth is, tech doesn't have an image problem. It doesn't have a message problem. It has an intention problem. What's wrong with the axe murderer who broke into my house is not that he hasn't successfully persuaded me to buy into his narrative. What's wrong is that he's trying to kill me with an axe. Similarly, when you launch a product that's designed to put millions of people out of work, block access to sources of verifiable truth, replace human creativity with slop, and lower the barriers to every sort of atrocity, the problem isn't that you haven't told the public a good story about those things. The problem is that you are trying to do them. (
There are things in the world that are more important than money. The fact that you seem not to believe this, that you seem to think any motive beyond ruthless acquisitiveness is fake, dishonest, or childish, is the heart of your problem. Your attitude is not by any means unique to tech, but the

Books should take forever to write. They should torture you your entire life and the things you could have said slightly better should haunt you forever. This is what art is for, transferring the discomfort of being human into something relatable to the other humans

We’re not just losing trees. We’re losing living history. Ancient forests that stood as silent witnesses to centuries of life — absorbing our carbon, sheltering species, and holding the memory of the Earth itself — are vanishing before our eyes. It’s on us to protect what still remains

"AI" has nothing todo with intelligence, it's just statistics. And as Kurt Gödel already found out in 1931, with his incompleteness theorem, computers will never be able to be really intelligent, which required being conscious. "They lost the plot". They only smelled the profit.

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die. Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.
