🚨 Publication alert!🚨 Our new study (onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10....) in Acta Physiologica shows that #stroke/#hypoxia induces the expression of BK-Ca channels in the #cerebrovascular #endothelium across species 🧔🏻‍♂️🐭🐷🐀. These channels, absent in normoxia, regulate post-stroke arterial tone.

Our new FASEBJ paper. We looked into mTOR Ser1261 phosphorylation in human and mouse muscle, proposed by Diane Fingar's lab to be first an Akt and then AMPK site regulating mTORC1 and 2 activity. 🚨 Breaking #Physiology news: Spinal arteries dilate in response to #noradrenaline! Our new study (www.thespinejournalonline.com/article/S152... ) shows increased spinal cord blood flow in-vivo via β-adrenergic receptor–mediated vasodilation, as spinal arteries lack α1-adrenergic receptors.
