Our latest work showing that GLUT4 exofacial antibodies can measure translocation in humans and rodent skeletal muscle fibers and is impaired in TBC1D4 KO rats despite rescued GLUT4 expression. Congrats Kaspar and co-authors. DM me for open access version: diabetesjournals.org/diabetes/art...

In our latest paper, we show that inducible sk. muscle AXIN1 /2 double KO have normal AMPK, mTOR and glucose uptake regulation, questioning previously proposed dependencies on this scaffold protein. Thanks to all co-authors for their contributions physoc.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1113/...

Our new FASEBJ paper. We looked into mTOR Ser1261 phosphorylation in human and mouse muscle, proposed by Diane Fingar's lab to be first an Akt and then AMPK site regulating mTORC1 and 2 activity. Clearly AMPK site but impact on mTORC unclear in our hands faseb.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1096/...

Curious about muscle metabolism? 🚴‍♂️ We reveal PanK4 as a conserved exercise target in muscle! 💪 PanK4 regulates lipid & glucose use likely via acetyl-CoA. We think PanK4 belongs alongside Akt, mTOR, AMPK, Rac1 & more as a key player in muscle energy homeostasis. #Metabolism #MyoBlue

A sketch poster illustrating an academic talk. 4 panels around a map of Antarctica, each panel with a character in it, four men and a dog, labelled the scientist, the doctor, the subject, the witness. Each includes some text about their experiences (e.g the dog says best trip ever!!! Lots of people to play with). There is a sketch of a woman bottom right (the speaker) and the logo of novo nordisk science cluster and www.EleonoraNigro.com
