On ZiR:
I think it's really important that we don't belittle, dismiss or insult anyone for their position on the events of this weekend. Green Party conference is a place for members to raise their voices and express their opinions. I'm really disappointed with the way some

members are speaking to eachother. If the outcome or the aim of this is that the 800+ people that voted against aren't welcome in the party then that would be a huge shame and does not make peace or justice for the Palestinian people any more likely

Let me try this once more. It was a choice. EITHER the Greens adopted a slogan. OR they could have joined the next govt, where they could push for an end to arms sales, sanctions, support for the arrest warrants etc. It was never going to be both. Which one makes a material difference? #GazaGenocide

Feeling quite disheartened by the Zionism is racism motion at the Green Party conference. We’ve ostracised ourselves from the Jewish community (incl. ppl who abhor the genocide), large parts of the public, other parties and international Green parties, and for what?

The "Zionism is racism" motion, to be debated at the Green Party conference tomorrow, will not advance the Palestinian cause one inch. But, if adopted, it would marginalise and discredit the party. There are powerful ways to confront the genocide. Toxic gesture politics isn't one of them.

I will always hate the phrase "money can't buy happiness." My partner and I are going through something, and our first course of action was cutting down on the food shop, and having to eat less. You know what would make me happy? Always having cash so I didn't have to worry about this happening.

This is a blatant threat to the RNLI, who are currently out of action in Portsmouth - ergo not saving lives, because staff are being terrorised. When will Mahmood take domestic terrorism of this nature seriously.

As much as I’m pleased Canada gets associate EU membership (with whatever that entails), it pisses me off to no end that Canada will have a closer formal relationship with the EU than the UK. It feels that younger generations are always being held hostage by conservative boomers & Reform voters.

Farage would rather stoke the prospect of civil unrest than reckon with Reform’s own conduct and quietly disappear from public life. When accountability comes knocking, the grifter reaches for a match. What. A. Twat.
Screenshot of a Twitter post from an account labelled “Nigel Farage”. The post says: “For six years now, Labour and the Tories have facilitated an invasion of our country. We are on the edge of serious civil unrest. The only solution is the ballot box. Only Reform will end the invasion.” Below is a video still showing a man in a dark suit speaking against a blue background, with the word “WARNED” across his chest.

Other platforms will soon follow, a senior administration official told POLITICO on Tuesday. “We got Lake America changed on Google Maps, and many other maps are changing in a couple days. And Wikipedia is going to change as well,” said the official, who was granted anonymity to speak frankly.
