Though Heathrow announced last year that its plans were “shovel-ready”, it now admits the runway would take four years longer to build than it claimed: the estimated completion date is now 2039.

For decades, government ministers have told us that airport expansion is essential for “growth”. But the social and environmental costs of the project, to reveal a massive net loss. It found that a third runway would cause major harm to the health and well being of up to 3 million local people.

Rachel Reeves claimed that a third runway at Heathrow would add 0.43% to GDP, figures we later discovered came from a report commissioned by the airport. The transport department’s own analysis concluded that the real addition to GDP would be between 0.03% and 0.05%: eight to 14 times less

Manchester City did not play on the level playing field that the rules of the Premier League were intended to create, we are living in a world of unfree markets where the power of money can create control and monopolise, to win additional rewards for the richest, at cost to everyone else.

Percentage of GDP spent on ‘welfare’. 2013-2020 was 10,5 % to 10.9 .the era of the benefit cap and two child limit. It rose for the pandemic then in 2022-2024 about 10.7 %, 2025 about the same and forecast to rise to 10.9% this year and 11.2% in 2030. Doesn’t look like a spiralling crisis to me.

Class war continues the abolition of the “triple lock” and its replacement with the “double lock”. To contextualise, had the latter been introduced in 2012, the basic state pension for a single person (reaching retirement before 6 April 2016) would be around £600 smaller than it is today

Farage isn’t some anonymous social media account. He is a MP and unfortunately one of Britain’s most prominent political figures. When he links a potential terrorist incident to small boats and immigration, millions of people hear it. When that claim turns out to be a lie, the msm should expose him

Remember the CIA conducted false flag attacks in Europe in the 1980s under ‘Operation Gladio’, to demonise left-wing groups. European nations are suspected of recent involvement in rushing to claim Russia conducted a farcical attack on Boris Johnson’s train in Ukraine.

Fiscal rules are targets set by governments to limit borrowing, debt, or deficits over time. They are presented as if they are neutral, technical constraints on what governments can do. In reality, they are arbitrary political choices.
