It must be so cool to know next to nothing about a topic and yet be able to make confident pronouncements about it in public, and then follow up by accusing anyone who disagrees with you of acting in bad faith

Ossoff and El-Sayed took different tacks tonight vs their opponents—El-Sayed was more of a subtext of “you dumb fucking racist jackass” while Ossoff’s was more “if you fell down at a gas station I’d toss a lit match on you”—and I don’t think either of those is a bad choice tbh

the Cornell case should make us question prosecutors and police all the time: the same DA offices discounting college students’ sexual assault cases (the lacking investigations, the disbelief) are happy to jail countless women for far less, day in and day out, when most people aren’t watching

Sometimes a drug trip is a profound experience where you realize that you’ve been carrying pain in your heart for years, that you can forgive yourself. Other times you come up with a concept called “gay money” (money that’s gay) and you text your friend “gay money” days later. Both are healing. ❤️‍🩹

Chess is hard for humans, but not for computers.
One day, it will be fully solved like checkers.
Between now and then, or even after, have fun.
People enjoy many games/sports where machines are vastly betterThere are more possible chess games, by about 40 orders of magnitude, than atoms in the observable universe. To solve chess, you'd have to map them all. Good luck.

Wrong, all legal chess positions are ~40 oom less than the estimated atoms in the Universe. And ASI will figure out ways to solve and compress that are far beyond what we could possibly comprehend.

There are many different ways to teach "The Bible", and the new Texas requirements of course are about indoctrinating students in conservative evangelical ideology rather than conveying the literary/cultural value of for example the King James Bible www.texastribune.org/2026/06/19/t...

The chosen readings, to be voted on soon by the State Board of Education, draw heavily from Christian perspectives.
