If you wondered whether Mothin Ali was really stupid enough to share a tweet from someone calling themselves "Libby Tarde" (ie. Lib Tard), talking about how they had "travelled all the way from Bristol" to "vote" in the "by-erection", I can tell you that yes, he apparently is.

I was never fond of Tim Walz as Kamala Harris' running mate. That fish mouthed fucker just did an interview with David Sirota (???), where he threw Harris under the bus by claiming she spent more time chasing the Cheneys than she did trying to appease the Hamasniks on the left. Fuck him forever.

aw the UK Greens have lost the Holborn and St Pancras by-election, they were heading for an easy win that would have brought their leader into Parliament and handed Labour a humiliation but then they destroyed themselves in public by pushing an antisemitic resolution

One of the underdiscussed outcomes of the Green conferance was Greens4Palestine running a slate and getting members elected to key bodies - particularly disciplinary/disputes. They've got their candidates elected to both of those. And you already have stories like this:

I hate when people make the philosophical argument that it is the "purpose" or a defining characteristic of the Jews to be in exile and more importantly an example through our suffering to all mankind, its usually made by privileged American Jews for whom Jewish suffering is comfortably theoretical

it is interesting that Mamdani getting accused of "Genocide" is getting a much more "well thats just silly/crazy" reaction than other American political figures who also didn't do genocide being accused of doing genocide in those cases even their defenders felt the need to explain not so here.

its really telling how quickly he brushes past Oct 7th, and indeed offers no details or "color" no mention of sexual violence or sadism, but we can just kinda make up a vivid example of Israeli violence rather telling for who in this statement are real real people and who aren't.

There's 364 other days of the year that he could criticize the Israeli *response* to Oct. 7th, some of which I would actually agree with. But choosing to do so ON Oct. 7th is pretty offensive. At least he publicly admitted that Hamas committed "horrific war crimes," anyway, so there's that.

This is WHO HE IS. It's not a oopsie. You must have read his real time statement on 10/7 when he didn't yet know he'd be running for mayor and didn't mention Hamas or even call the attack a crime and only criticized Israel. He won anyway. Now there is one sentence on crimes before attacking Israel.

Any other day then when the deliberate slaughter of the most Jews since the holocaust occurred. But you don’t care about Jewish lives so it doesn’t matter to you. You don’t want people to equivocate about what’s happening in Gaza then don’t equivocate about what happened on 107.

Lots of talk about the many things wrong with the British Green Party's anti-Zionism statement, but I'm really struck by its conviction that a political party has the right to determine how a foreign nation should define itself politically and be comprised. Feels like real British Empire shit.

Unfortunately it seems most libs aren't ready to address the fact that Zionism is fundamentally an ethno-supremacist ideology. Any form of
"liberal zionism" is one that has absolutely no institutional power in this day and age. Israel has never not been a racist project

It’s literally a game for these people, and not even a new one. This post echoes a quote that is over a hundred years old about how people delight in accusing a Jew of theft particularly because they get the joy of watching him turn or his pockets to prove that he hasn’t stolen anything.
If the headline motion is itself racist, the refusal to even pretend to make a carve-out for Jewish members of your own party is perhaps most revealing. Evidently, a majority of Green Party members who voted for the motion and against the amendment simply have little interest in finding an accommodation with Jews.
And I think this speaks to what a lot of people fail to understand. That for Jew-haters, antisemitism is fun. Even better, it frequently forces Jews to play the game of emptying their pockets and patiently explaining why this obviously horrible, racist thing — a slogan, a placard or a burning of ambulances operated by a Jewish charity
— is in fact antisemitic. That, too, is part of the fun.
You don't need to label every antisemitic terrorist attack (and there are horrifyingly many to choose from this year alone) a "false flag" or suggest that "Zionists control the media" to oppose a terrible war or in any way dilute support for Palestinians. You certainly don't have to, as Francesca Albanese, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories claimed in a recent interview, say that Jews in Nazi death camps were called "Muslims".
I could attempt to explain why they do this. Why so many people believe that Jews, whether stabbed on the streets of Golders Green or murdered in gas chambers, are molecularly incapable of being victims. Indeed, how and why the Holocaust itself is an example of Jewish power and privilege. But that would be to play the pocket-emptying game.

I've never understood why Free Palestine people want to go down the road of "in practice." In what world is Zionism inherently racist "in practice," but Palestinian nationalism, that motivated countless terror attacks, wars, and the Hamas massacre on October 7th, isn't?

It’s so telling that the true objection these people have always comes back to “Not enough Jews have been killed.” War is still war, even when one side is winning. That’s generally why most people don’t start wars against nations that have vastly more powerful militaries than they do.

It is not a war when only one side has casualties. It is ethnic cleansing. If Israelis were to start dying at 1,000+ dead per week, we could call it a war. But if that were the case, after two weeks, Israel would end the war.

You are SO brainwashed. Jews were always Dhimmis (look it up) in Arab countries. They faced pogroms time & time again, just like Europe, and in Ottoman Palestine too. As for Iran - there were c150,000 Jews there after WW2. Now it barely scrapes five figures. And they face severe restrictions.
