Asking the important questions
Screenshot of a conversation on America.gov

User: Where can I report a third amendment violation?

Response: There is no dedicated federal “Third Amendment hotline.” The Third Amendment limits quartering of soldiers in a house without the owner’s consent, except as the law allows in wartime.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911.

Something else - and no, I’m not making an original point here — that endlessly infuriates me about the trump administration’s siege of Springfield Ohio is that the Haitians are there primarily because they were invited there, largely by local conservative political and business leaders…

For those who might have forgotten, Dolly was always punk as fuck
"I made jokes about it, but it's the truth that I kind of patterned my look after the town tramp. I didn't know who she was, just this woman who was blonde and piled her hair up, wore high heels and tight skirts, and, boy, she was the prettiest thing I've ever seen. Mama used to say, 'Aw, she's just trash,' and I thought, That's what I want to be when I grow up. Trash."

Apparently accurately describing the UAE's genocide in Sudan is antisemitism and blood libel too now, says the Jerusalem Post
Antisemitism by proxy: Blood libels against UAE and Morocco - opinion
Medieval versions of antisemitic blood libels accused Jews of taking Christian blood. Now, they are placing blame for recent regional events on countries that have normalized relations with Israel. This is how a political blood libel is manufactured in 2026. The medieval version accused Jews of secretly taking Christian blood; its modern descendant accuses Israel, and now the states that chose peace with it, of manufacturing wars to harvest Arab and African blood, land, gold, and ports.

I don't think people understand how thin the line between "deportation" and "extermination" really is - not just in Europe, but everywhere the topic comes up. Many people feel comfortable with the idea of deportation because it obscures the underlying violence that is necessarily implied.

Even with an intact CDC and FDA, only like 1% of foodbourne outbreaks were ever identified. 1 out of 6 Americans get a foodbourne illness each year, with no identifiable cause. Now? All but the very largest, most severe outbreaks will be just like that.

"I'd kill for my child" okay but would you put aside your preconceived notions of gender or sexuality for your child? would you apologize to your child when you're wrong? would you tell your child they can be whoever they want to be, and mean it? your child doesn't need more killing in their name

sex is the gendering of the body. the patriarchal gender structure is hierarchical. sex is a weight, a yard stick to measure you & a night stick to beat you. "biological sex" brands a woman's oppression on her flesh, through which her value to the brotherhood is stamped. abolish sex to free sex

Below the banner is a photograph of a vintage portable record player in a textured tan case, sitting outdoors on a brick sidewalk. The lid of the record player is propped open, revealing the black turntable platter and components inside.

A white piece of paper is taped to the front of the device with handwritten text that reads:

Children's lives are more gendered today than ever before in history.
4 frame comic. the first frame shows a man with a grey and white beard, G. Stanley Hall. The second shows a woman wearing a bonnet and sighing holding two babies. the third frame shows a boy and a very similar looking man, both dressed with the same suit and bowler hat. the last frame shows G. Stanley Hall again, looking at two alleys of toys, one pink and one blue, and saying ''nice''. Text reads :
People didn't think much about young boys wearing dresses until prominent psychologists such as G Stanley Hall threw early childhood under scrutiny. Under their developmental paradigms, queerness and transness suddenly became treatable consequences of parental mistakes (more often than not mother's mistakes, given the obsession with effeminacy and trans-femininity.) Building on the work of Hall, the early 20th century saw an evergrowing interest in making sure boys identified with their father and girls with their mother. that coincides with the moment pink and blue started being used as codes for girls and boys. The fact that the lives of today's children are more gendered than ever before in human history is a testament to queerphobia and transmisogyny.

I truly could not ask for a clearer example of what Republicans mean when they talk about “Judeo-Christian values.”
“State Rep. Brent Money, a Greenville Republican who founded the Sharia-Free Texas Caucus, told the audience at Scarborough’s panel on Judeo-Christian values that there should be religious tests for people who run for office and that the country should be run by Christians. After his speech, Hussein asked whether Money was saying only Christians should be elected.

“I’m not saying that,” said Money, wearing a red “Defend Texas, Defeat Sharia” hat. He cited the first U.S. Supreme Court justice, John Jay, who wrote in 1816 that, as members of a Christian nation, Americans should elect Christians to office.

“We’ve proven over 250 years that we’re best ruled when we’re ruled by Christian men who serve a God that’s bigger than them and that seek the welfare of everyone that’s here,” Money said.”
