I've been making these comics and posting them online for more than 12 years, now. Lately, I've been having chronic insomnia - it's 6am where I am, and late, not early - largely due to the volume of harassment I've been getting. Sleeping a few hours here and there.

It takes a toll.
4 frame comics. first frame shows espresso in a portafilter. second shows a coconut milk carton and a cup to foam milk with a thermometer. 4rd frame shows a small espresso machine making espresso. 4th frame shows a foamy cappuccino in a promotional Frozen the Musical coffee cup. The text, spread over the four frames, reads :
I wish that I could give cis
people a glimpse of what it
feels like.
to be villainized and
dehumanized in the media
every day.
to see your existence
being legislated against all
around the planet.
to see friends and
family members vote for
politicians who promise to
make the lives of people
like you worse.

How it started vs how it's going.
2 frame comic. the first frame, titled in the corner ''how it started, shows a news anchor looking tired, saying : after betraying
every trade agreements with
canada by imposing illegal
tariffs, the u.s. president is
now threatening, yet again,
to make canada the united
states' 51st state.''
in the second frame, titled How it's going..., the same news anchor, looking less tired, says : following canadian p.m. mark
carney's comments about seeking
a ''unique alliance'', the president
of the european commission said
that they were open to create a
new class of e.u. membership to
allow canada to become its
28th member state.

The foot in the door
four frame comic. each frame has the text on top in white. first frame shows jk rowling. second frame shows trump and erdogan in suits doing thumbs up. third shows the istanbul landscape. fourth shows Talarico giving a speech in front of the podium. text reads:
"protecting the children"
has become the foot in the
door of fascism.
last weekend (sept. 12th-13th),
under the pretense of "protecting
the children," trump's turkish
bestie erdogan led a massive
anti-lgbtq crackdown.
in an extraordinary esca-
lation, legal proceedings were
announced against 160 people.
about 50 activists have been
arrested. associations and
homes have been ransacked
across the country.
so when we hear people who
are supposedly our allies use
the same language as erdogan,
we owe it to our turkish
siblings to call it out.

There are graphs
4 frame comic. a street journalist asks someone with a light blue dress and a large purse :
miss! do you think gender
transition should be illegal
for kids, given how patients
are rushed into treatments
and how the vast majority
ends up detransitioning?

she replies, pulling a bunch of papers from her purse that she hands to the journalist:
I'm glad you asked! yet another
new massive study* just found
that out of 445 kids who were
referred to four different gender
clinics for gender dysphoria, only
2.9% didn't identify as trans or
non-binary five years later.
there are graphs!
a note below the frame gives the reference for the study : Metzger & al. stability of transgender identity in
adolescents seen in multidisciplinary specialized gender
centers. journal of adolescent health. august 2026.
she continues :
then out of the 353 who
started hormones (after an
average wait time of 2.4 years),
only 1.1% had stopped the treat-
ment five years later, which is
incredibly few. I hope that
info helps you!
but miss, do you think gender
transition should be illegal
for kids, given how this study
seems to suggest that it is so
addictive that kids who were
transed might feel trapped to
keep identifying as trans?
she replies, looking tired : stop making sh*t up.

True canadian values
four frame comic. first frame shows a Tim Hortons coffee shop from outside. second frame shows Harry Potter themed donuts. Third shows a loon swimming in a lake near some grass. last one shows someone with a dress that reads ''I don't care''. Text reads :
at tim hortons, we care
deeply about true canadian
Values, such as Silent
complicity in genocide.
that's what inspired us
to partner with famous
anti-human rights campaigner
jk rowling to offer you an
all-harry potter menu.
with each purchase of our
mid-tier donuts, your money
goes towards lining the pockets
of someone who uses her wealth
to fight trans rights and hurt
queer communities around
the planet.
you don't personally need
to hate lgbtq+ people to eat at
tim hortons. you just need to not
care enough about their rights,
safety and well-being!

Dear readers! I have decided to take my "Best of Assigned Male" comic collection on a little European & Canadian tour this fall/winter. I will be sharing stories, how art can empower us in the age of technofascism, and how to find strength and empowerment when billionaires wish to see us disappear.

Your bad art is better than AI slop.
four frame comic. first frame shows a typical AI poster that says : All chatgpt flyers look the same, especially with this font! the text above it reads : I won't go to your event if the poster was made by AI. second frame shows a still frame from a Hank Green youtube video. text above reads : I won't read your post or email and I won't watch your video if they were made with AI. third frame shows an AI restaurant poster of burgers and chicken in a window. text reads : I won't patronize your shop or restaurant if it is advertised with AI. last frame shows an MS paint window with badly written : Your bad art is better than AI slop. text reads : if you can't take the time or make the effort to interact with me yourself, then why should I do it?

Fun and nostalgia
4 frame comic. in the first frame, there's a eery Tim Hortons facade under stormy clouds. in the subsequent three frames, we see several donuts and drinks in the colours of Harry Potter. The text reads:

as one of the largest annual
pride festivals in the world kicks
off in montreal, tim hortons,
iconic canadian coffee and
donut shops chain, just announced
the upcoming launch of a new
harry potter themed menu.
many lgbt+ orgs have since
called for a boycott, considering
how harry potter's author, who
is known for her holocaust
denialism and her anti-human
rights stances, has been using
her wealth to erase trans
people from public life.
in a statement, tim hortons
said that "the promotion was
intended to bring a sense of fun
and nostalgia to customers
rather than make a political
statement."
while anti-lgbt+
hate is on the rise, deciding
to funnel more money to one
of the biggest opponents to
equality and diversity on the
planet is nothing but a
political statement.

A dark day for human rights.
four frame comic. first frame shows the logo of amnesty international. second frame shows jk rowling, smiling in the dark. third frame shows an empty classroom, with a pride poster almost falling from the wall. fourth frame shows a trans flag flying in the wind. text above all the images reads :
on july 8th, amnesty Inter-
national uk published a report
titled “A Growing Threat: The
Anti-Rights Movement in the UK.”
it listed 117 orgs, including anti-
trans and anti-queer ones
backed by jk rowling.
the backlash was immediate
and brutal : rowling pledged
to cover the fees of anyone
who wished to sue amnesty.
the report was taken down
within 48 hours.
this morning (july 31st), amnesty
fully capitulated and released
an apology to anti-trans orgs,
which, it said, should not have
been "collectively labelled as
anti-rights". rowling
celebrated.
an organisation that
bravely faced fascist regimes
and reported human rights
violations for 65 years has caved
to rowling's power and bigotry.
it's a dark day for human rights.

Aw baby
4 frame comic. a mother is siding on the side of a bed where a child with short hair is under blanket. they say : mamma, I can't sleep. what if I'm peer-pressured into getting rapid onset gender dysphoria in my dreams? The mother says : aw baby. If you get rapid onset gender dysphoria again, we'll make sure to bully it out of you like we did last time. The child replies: and then what? she says: and then, it'll come back to haunt you every few nights until you come to terms with the fact that we'd rather make up a fake disease than face our own biases and transphobia. goodnight!
the mother pulls the blanket and boops the child's nose. The child replies: Teehee! Goodnight.
The bedroom is dark but we only see the outline of the child's horrified eyes.

A ''new thing''.
4 frame strip. An older man tells Stephie: kids being trans is a new thing! We didn;t have that 30 years ago. Theyre only doing it to be trendy, that;s why there;s an 80% desistance rate. Stephie puts her hand next to her face and goes : psst. That 80% rate comes from disgraces homophobic doctor K Zucker's book about his unethical treatments of trans and gender non-conforming kids, ''gender identity disorder and psychosexual problems in children and adolescents.'' it came out 30 years ago.

It's already the non-permanent solution.
four frame comic. An older man says to Stephie : Kids shouldn't make permanent decisions about their bodies. we must ban puberty blockers! She replies, through three panels : puberty blockers are meant to be non-permanent. They are used as a compromise because people won't trust trans teens to start hormones at the same time as their non-trans peers. Banning access to blockers not only takes that pause away from trans people, it forces them to watch their body change in a direction that we know will cause them pain and distress. It's pure cruelty. The only thing that is a permanent decision here is forcing trans teens to go through a puberty they don't wwant and might regret for the rest of their life. the man looks horrified.

It was never not our turn.
4 frame comic. An older man says to Stephie, in a yellow shirt : yeah, it's worrying what they're doing to trans people. It's like what they were doing to gay people in the eighties. Seems like it's your turn! Stephie replies, over the following three panel: w... we have been here the whole time, Harold. Do you think that the eighties' queerphobes saw trans people and were like ''nah, these people are fine''? do you think nazis who were ordered to round up queer men saw trans women and thought ''not them, trans women are women uwu''? people only think that transphobia is a new thing because it was so prevalent that they couldn't see our humanity. but it was never not our turn, Harold.

This cruelty too shall end..
4 frame comic with narrative text, showing 1: police in riot gears, 2: tear gas engulfing a street with the silhouette of a person standing in the middle, 3: a big gathering seen from the sky; 4: a sunset over los angeles. Text reads : It's utterly ipossible for me to build my life on a foundation of chaos, suffering and death. I see the world being slowly transformed into a wilderness, I hear the approaching thunder that, one day, will destroy us too, I feel the suffering of millions. And yet, when I look up at the sky, I somehow feel that everything will change for the better, that this cruelty too shall end, that peace and tranquility will return once more. 4 frame comic. Alice and Linda, two coworkers, are chatting while having coffee. Linda says : I'd be upset if I learned that my child is trans at school without my knowledge. Alice replies: oh, same. I'd be upset that I failed to foster a relationship with my child in which they feel safe to be who they are. I'd be upset that I failed in my obligation as a parent to provide an environment in which my child can thrive and blossom. Linda says : I mean that it's my parental right to know! Alice says : WTF Linda? Children aren't their parents' properties.

Agree to disagree
4 frame comic. A guy with a neckbeard says to Sophie, the author: we shouldn't allow kids to be trans because 80% end up detransitioning. She replies: that number is from Kenneth Zucker's study from 30 years ago, in which he claimed to have ''curedää some gender non+conforming kids of gender dysphoria with ''reparative therapy'' - a form of torture. Half of them never even expressed gender dysphoria! The researcher's clinic was eventually shut down after he was revealed as a fraud, and his methods recognized as inhumane and unethical. His results were never reproduced. Actual, recent studies consistently estimate detransition rates to be between 1 and 2%. The man replies : OK well I got my studies, you got yours. agree to disagree.

Imagine the AUDACITY of someone WORKING while TRANS 😱
4 frame comic. in the first frame, a woman and a TERF are standing side by side, the woman with her arms crossed and the TERF looking upset, with a Adult Human Female shirt. she says : How am I supposed to work while a trans-identified coworker shoves his autogynephilic fetish in my face and mocks my sacred womanhood?! in the second frame, she's in an office, still upset, while a woman with a suit tells her : I'm sorry, we can't keep you on the team. you're fired. the TERF says : is it because of my protected gender critical beliefs that biology is real? the third and fourth frames show the woman in a suit saying : what? oh, not at all. No it's because you're a horrible person who has let hate rot her heart to the core.

Is it a real privilege if it doesn't help you win at Mario Kart?
Frank and Stephie are playing videogames on a purple couch. Frank asks her : so if you're trans, what am I, again? she replies : Cisgender, or cis. it means that your gender is the one you were assigned at birth. he says : isn't that a bit complicated? why not simply say that I'm normal? she replies : not naming being ''non-trans'' makes it impossible to put emphasis on the fact that the gender assignation process affects everyone, trans or not. You only feel like it's normal because you never questioned your gender. gender identity may seem like a useless concept when the whole world validates who you are. that's what's called a cis privilege. He says : it's not a real privilege if it doesn't help me win at Mario Kart.

Children's lives are more gendered today than ever before in history.
4 frame comic. the first frame shows a man with a grey and white beard, G. Stanley Hall. The second shows a woman wearing a bonnet and sighing holding two babies. the third frame shows a boy and a very similar looking man, both dressed with the same suit and bowler hat. the last frame shows G. Stanley Hall again, looking at two alleys of toys, one pink and one blue, and saying ''nice''. Text reads :
People didn't think much about young boys wearing dresses until prominent psychologists such as G Stanley Hall threw early childhood under scrutiny. Under their developmental paradigms, queerness and transness suddenly became treatable consequences of parental mistakes (more often than not mother's mistakes, given the obsession with effeminacy and trans-femininity.) Building on the work of Hall, the early 20th century saw an evergrowing interest in making sure boys identified with their father and girls with their mother. that coincides with the moment pink and blue started being used as codes for girls and boys. The fact that the lives of today's children are more gendered than ever before in human history is a testament to queerphobia and transmisogyny.

third frame shows her lying on the ice with a hockey outfit. she says : will you ban ballet classes, since they alter children's muscles and limbs forever? or contact sports, like hockey or football, for giving them lifelong head traumas and concussions?

Meet Dr James Barry.
4 frame comic, depicting James Barry, hands being washed, a fireplace and a surgeon with gloves on. Text reads :
whenever you wash your hands, you owe the habit to an irish trans man, dr James Barry, who was born at the end of the 18th century and led an extraordinary life until his death in 1865. he transitioned as a teenager and after his studies, became a surgeon in the british army. he pioneered modern medicine by implementing stricter hygiene practices. He was also the first european doctor to perform a successful c-section. even though he became a famous and celebrated surgeon, his existence was scrubbed from the records when it was found that he was trans, after his death. this graduation speech moment is notable, and her amazed shock at having failed to read the room feels instructive. when you're inside the bubble, you think everybody else is. but everybody isn't.

I want there to be a conspiracy in the WH correspondents' dinner attack.
4 frame comic, where all frames are zooms on a picture of the White house correspondents dinner attack, where everyone is scrambling on the floor between chairs and tables. text reads, across all four panels :
I want there to be a conspiracy in the WH correspondents' dinner attack.
I want someone to tell me :
"yes, the president wilfully
let an armed man without a
clear plan get close to the
event floor in order to get
his ballroom vanity project
back on track. he's behind
all of it.
I want this scheming,
scamming, grifting adminis-
tration's hubris to be behind a
clever plot to trick us all,
because simply getting a new
reason to despise them is so
much easier than facing
the truth...
there is no plan. it's pure
chaos, and their every action
is dictated by how much they
can profit from the situation,
no matter the cost for the
rest of the planet. and that's
more frightening than any
conspiracy theory.
