Ok, funny story, whenever I heard about The Red Shoes by Powell and Pressburger, for years, in the back of my head I was always like, the Cinemax movie?!?! I had never seen either, but that was always the association in my mind. And uhhh, apparently the association persists to this day… 😵‍💫 😂

Everywhere I look lately a cis-Male comic creator is announcing a female-led project whilst my timelines are flooded with accounts of SA, both adult & minor, and I’ve never been more aware of living in a Patriarchal society.

The "social contagion" thing drives me screaming angry. When I was young I had no clue trans ppl existed. I'd never met anyone trans. I saw cruel caricatures in pop culture occasionally. When I realized trans was a thing someone could be, it hit like a lightning bolt. My life felt newly possible.

Good for sound effects (Maybe even better than for dialogue…). Demonstrating this are stylized sound effects that reads "Splat", "Aaaiiieeee!!!", and "drip drip".

I really did not think this would print. It printed! Not nicely (I was using water-based lino ink to proof because I can clean up with wet wipes not solvents), but it printed. And quite evenly considering the wild mix of type!
