Down Here For Your Soul @bombsfall.bsky.social · 17/10/2025Started watching Columbo. This may be the greatest show ever made. My prior Columbo experience outside of pop culture osmosis is Peter Falk in Wings Of Desire. Wenders told us the truth: he was an angel. 711397126

French for Sunflower @dualhammers.bsky.social · 17/10/2025Is the implication here you've never watched Princess Bride? 130
Rob Beschizza @beschizza.com · 17/10/2025I just binged a load of episodes and it's just perfect. Something almost magical about how they build what happened in each ep through Columbo taking it apart. 030
Shannon Strucci @strucci.bsky.social · 17/10/2025omg... s5e3 is one of my fav TV eps of all time... literally wearing my Columbo hat right now 1100
Eiderann @eiderann.bsky.social · 17/10/2025I love Columbo so much. What a great, great show and there's so many amazing actors who guest starred in it. Hell, you had Spielberg direct an episode before he got his movie break. 041
Justin @justin-joseph.bsky.social · 17/10/2025So, yeah, get ready to see Johnny Cash turn in a better performance on a TV movie mystery than the overwhelming majority of actors do in their entire careers. Also, prepare to become an acolyte of the church of Robert Culp. 2400
Cory @mailyard.bsky.social · 17/10/2025Really rewarding to plow through the series because after a while you start investigating Columbo. Like for real, who is this guy 0150
Oda @odacm.bsky.social · 17/10/2025Imagine tuning into a show that didn't even have it's own intro theme and right out the gate you're getting episodes directed by Steven Spielberg. 2330

Dr Emma L Briant 🇬🇧 in 🇺🇸 w/ 🐕 @emma-briant.co.uk · 18/10/2025Colombo is amazing. You should also see Peter Falk in his Cassavettes films. 071
🌈Dani "your teacher could become a sardine" Garibaldi @thatpandayouknow.bsky.social · 08/11/2025If you're enjoying Columbo, check out The Cheap Detective. Falk plays it pretty similar to Columbo, but there's also silliness, and Kai Winn is in it for a bit if that's of interest. It is a great show 000
Brandon Mills @brandonmills.bsky.social · 17/10/2025The WatchCast has me Columbo Curious as well. 000

GrimmHooke @grimmhooke.northsky.social · 20/10/2025I'm a HUGE fan of Columbo, so the recent resurgence in popularity online through memes has done my heart so much good. I'm glad people are discovering what an amazing show it was, and Peter Falk is so, so much of the charm. Love that little guy. 010
Andrew Lawston @andrewlawston.bsky.social · 18/10/2025I love the London episode, with its obsession with everyone carrying umbrellas, and which epitomises the Austin Powers "isn't it strange how England looks in no way like Southern California?" line, and which also features what must have been the worst production of Macbeth ever staged. It's a gem. 010
Korzo @korzo.bsky.social · 25/10/2025My first Columbo episode involved Johnny Cash and it sold me on the entire series 041
Quinn Norton @quinn.yoyodyne-it.eu · 17/10/2025The kids are down with Columbo. TinyGiant @tinygiant642.bsky.social · 17/10/2025It is genuinely amazing. Even his very first appearance in the show is great, in the very first episode where when all the cops are focused on the murder he shows up and comforts the woman who knew the victim before starting his investigation. Class. 070
De-Katie and Cat-Boo!-ger @katieandcatburger.bsky.social · 17/10/2025It is the greatest show ever made!! Except for maybe MASH, checkout MASH next 010
Retnab @retnab.bsky.social · 17/10/2025Fun little Columbo fact, he keeps telling people his car's special and people roll their eyes because it looks like junk, but it was actually a pretty rare French model so he's being dead serious about it 2221
Potato Queen @sullivanpack.bsky.social · 17/10/2025Also enjoy Falk in Murder by Death, which satirizes big mystery book series; he plays Sam Diamond, a spoof of Sam Spade. Terrific silly fun with a great cast 191
Chris Williams (dink) @chriswilliams-dink.bsky.social · 17/10/2025Jealous of anyone who has the whole of Columbo to watch. Enjoy. 000

Nomad KG @kgnomad.bsky.social · 17/10/2025Joining others, I proclaim Colombo to be the greatest detective show of all time. Started watching runs in 80s and have seen every episode many times. Only two episodes I did not enjoy are “Last Salute to the Commodore” & “ Colombo Likes the Nightlife” which was the final episode. 120

Lt. Vincent Hanna @cbartrun.bsky.social · 17/10/2025The fundamental thesis of the show (rich people are all sickos & freaks) is so great. Makes seeing this seemingly bumbling buffoon nail them every time so, so satisfying 1552

Big Batty Goth Girl @blurryeyedbat.bsky.social · 17/10/2025Guess I'll have to watch Wings of Desire now. But enjoy Columbo! I've rewatched it way too much, but it's so charming. Peter Falk aside I love all the killers hamming it up as well. Also I cannot in anyway recommend The Clueless Detective, except for Falk being a ladies man is hysterical 020
Jerrod Hazelwood @hazjer21.bsky.social · 17/10/2025I've said this before, but I'll repeat it til I die. Columbo is the best cop show, cause he treats it just like a job. He's good at his job, he likes his job, but he has a life outside of his job. It's not haunted by it, or obsessive over it. He leaves and comes back cause his shift is over. 11022

Hunter Ɐ @burncoat.bsky.social · 17/10/2025Me and my sister started watching Columbo because there were a bunch of memes around it suddenly. I was thinking it couldn't be that good because it was from the 70s. But it is that good. Also a great show for catching actors early in their carrier 070
allfrightner @allflicker.bsky.social · 17/10/2025Your next step is to move on to Advanced Falk with The In-Laws and Woman on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. 020
mrs A @day-blind-stars.bsky.social · 17/10/2025I think it’s the greatest TV show ever made. Peter Falk is absolute genius in the role and the quality of guest stars each week just adds to the perfection. 030

Spuds Turtle @spudsturtle.bsky.social · 17/10/2025It's insanely good. I remember growing up hearing jokes about old folks loving Columbo, but they were right to! The villains are also all great especially the repeat actors. 0300

wildigital.bsky.social @wildigital.bsky.social · 17/10/2025The scene in Now You See Him where Columbo hands the murderous magician a set of handcuffs that he’s fitted with a supposedly unpickable lock (from the door of the murder) is one of the great moments of television. It is exemplary Show Don’t Tell, the whole episode in microcosm. 080
Darth Ferbert @darthferbert.bsky.social · 17/10/2025I watched the entire series, including the movies. Did you know Kate Mulgrew played Mrs. Columbo in a spin off? 020

Dave Holden Caufield @tyrellcorphr.bsky.social · 18/10/2025It’s great but I’m obsessed with figuring out why all the interiors - especially the furnishings - all look so horribly artificial. For the most part the settings are wealthy people’s homes so the wood sideboards aren’t plastic…why do they look like they are? Is it the lighting? The camera? 010
Aura/Moom @moomanibe.bsky.social · 17/10/2025I realize this is just dooming you to an eternity of murder mysteries but if you ever find yourself wanting to explore that genre more I cannot recommend enough the fansubs of Furuhata Ninzaburō 0220
