I wonder what made "out of an abundance of caution" catch on as a phrase so fully. I feel like it's eclipsed all other less stilted ones? it seems like such a functionary kind of phrase, to me, that I can't imagine choosing it.

thinking about this again today, and not even in the context of procgen. The thing about systems design is that it's so easy to get excited about making little sandboxes for yourself that you forget the player needs insight into it, lest it simply appear the same as complete randomness.

Made a 2 page ttrpg called “YOU ARE A REGULAR GUY!”. Based on a speech by Jacob Wysocki, it’s a game where you can do things a regular guy can do. If done right, you can achieve godly feats through actions as basic as answering a phone. Waking up is honestly OP.

the wall blood exposition looks like someone switched to a bigger round brush for the bigger text? (I mean, it's clearly a font.) If you make your wall graffiti out of smaller strokes, you can get a lot more leeway with how plausible it seems at different scales.
