Not a great sign when your 12-person private fundraiser includes someone who hates you enough to leak damaging audio
The audio of Mr. Paxton was shared with The Times by an attendee who recorded him speaking at a private fund-raiser in Washington attended by roughly a dozen people. The person, who opposes Mr. Paxton’s campaign and provided the recording to The Times, was granted anonymity because Mr. Paxton’s remarks were private.

Why do people invest their energy in defending Biden in September of 2026? No one credible argues that Biden wasn't firmly pro-Israel, that his admin didn't downplay evidence of genocide and war crimes, that they never seriously cut or threatened to cut aid.

10/17/23 is specifically the date of the al-Ahli hospital bombing when the IDF killed upwards of 500 Palestinian civilians. Western media collectively agreed that it was prudent to cast doubt on the reported casualty figures, so "Hamas-run ministry of health" became a thing.

The Senate can pass a bill to regulate college sports, but they can't pass bills to lower the price of gas, groceries, or healthcare. They can't rein in Trump's thirst for war in Iran or trade wars with Canada, but they can tell college athletes how often they're allowed to transfer. Cool.

Poster for the 1925 silent horror film 'The Phantom of the Opera' starring Lon Chaney. It is a water color painting illustration of a man in the sewer catacombs of paris searching frantically. In the bottom corner where he can't see is a woman crouching behind bars trying to get his attention. Below them in the water is a red cloaked phantom, breathing air from a makeshift snorkel and stalking toward the man
