It really doesn't make sense to attribute those job losses to AI-the-technology, because if that were the case we'd be observing AI outputs displacing conventional entertainment products, and they're clearly not. Rather, the impact of AI is that AI-the-business is crowding out other investment.

Some countries have a few extremely common family names, and that comes with both good and bad effects. At least in Vietnam, tho, marriage between two people with the same last name is, imo, usually a Nguyen/Nguyen situation.

There was a thing where "rationalism" as a modern movement got weirdly remolded in the 00s, first because a bunch of neoconservatives wrote "rationalist" books around 2006 and filtered out a lot of people uncomfortable with Islamophobia, and then "elevatorgate" filtered more people out around 2009
