After work the other day I wanted to go on a hike, somewhere I'd never been before. Once I got there, I hiked to the overlook & got some golden hour shots from up high, but the sunset angle was all wrong. I made my way back down to the water & found a little opening only for the sky to do this.

I love my local neighborhood coffee shops. My coffee was cold because I was drinking slowly and when I asked if they would microwave it for a few seconds they refused and said they would prefer to make me a new one which they did. This is why I love local and not chain coffee shops.

Have to start eating more tomatoes, lettuce, and cucumbers from my raised beds. So tonight I’ve made a Greek salad and ground chicken koftas in mini pitas with hummus and yogurt.

SNAP kids are just as deserving of a birthday cake, a soda, & a little childhood joy as any other kid. Kids shouldn’t have to understand their family’s financial situation before being allowed to be excited about cake. Somehow we’ve reached where that apparently requires a congressional hearing.
