Love 🧡 physical media. I keep buying records, books and films. But… One of my roof tiles is banjaxed and my kitchen ceiling started leaking water last night… So, I might have to get a tarpaulin for my physical media… 🤣😬😭

My favorite surprise in all these responses was Chris naming Derek Jarman’s Blue. I saw Blue at the NY Film Festival when I was maybe 21 and didn’t fully understand it and also never, ever forgot it. I should watch it again; I suppose it ls mysteries would hit me much different at 55.

MARKETA LAZAROVÁ (František Vláčil, 1967). Set in Central Europe in the mid-13th, century, this is an intense, visceral film depicting an unforgiving world characterised by power, conflict, vengeance & murder. Existence is tenuous here, especially for the vulnerable, who struggle >> #FilmSky

A black and white still from the film showing Marketa lying face upwards in a cart - we can only see her head and shoulders.
