The sentence for detonating a bomb a few metres from houses on a suburban residential road in the early evening seems entirely reasonable. It was sheer luck that nobody was injured or worse. Perhaps Sarah should explain what sentence this terrorist should have received?

Hi, I'm Kirsty. I'm a legislation specialist who loves penguins. I love the way the alto line suspends and resolves at the end of Mahler 2. We're singing it tonight at @liverpoolphil.bsky.social 😍 TraaaaAAAaaagen... Would you like to introduce yourself with a small song moment you like?

I'm not sure it has sunk in for people just how close we came to a hundred-plus Israelis crashing into the Jordanian desert in a giant fireball. Which, aside from being horrible in itself, would most likely have meant a very bad time for a lot of other people in the Middle East.

We rightly give Home Office ministers a hard time here for many things, but in their defence, not one of them has ever ordered the Identity & Passport Service to mail out passports in envelopes that might as well be printed with the words ‘Important identity document enclosed: please steal’.

If you feed an LLM prompts generated by the responses from another LLM and simply leave it for days at a time in an endless loop, *of course* things like this will happen. Throwing up your hands and going "oh, look what the AI did!" is obfuscation. YOU did it, OpenAI.

my legit goal with the Untitled History Podcast is to replicate what I had as a kid the first time I discovered In Our Time on the radio. I want people to listen WITHOUT caring about what the topic is. To feel that magic, and thrill, of just trusting it will be interesting. And learning cool stuff.

I know what his fucking name is. This is like when people think that calling Tommy Robinson "Stephen Yaxley-Lennon" is some sort of own. He doesn't give a shit. He's not Rumplestiltskin. You don't get magical powers over him by saying his True Name.

New cartoon: The RNLI
Cartoon titled “The RNLI: Some of the people they help,” showing six scenarios involving people rescued by the RNLI. Including a man caught by the tide, a YouTuber swimming without preparation, a middle-lane driver, a neighbour with different political opinions, a superyacht owner who forgot to refuel, and people crossing the Channel in a small boat. The final caption reads, “All human beings – all deserve saving.”

Find it both grating and frankly, deeply weird, that Zack Polanski’s leaflets are simply dishonest about where he lives. Literally nobody cares. It’s normal to move within London. “Hackney man seeks job in Camden” is not something you need to play word games around.

Line drawing of small bear attacking woman in zoo enclosure who tries to defend herself with a stick.
