Trump is banning students majoring in degrees that don’t make enough money from taking out college loans. Degrees for social work, art, religious studies, teaching aides, and music will be hit the hardest. trib.al/kQdKbY1

Trump Moves to Cut Off Student Loans for Tons of Degrees
Under a new rule, if your degree doesn’t make enough money, you won’t be able to get a student loan.

Hunter Biden is still going after Jake Tapper 🍿😂
Trump hasn’t made a public appearance in 8 days. This after an unscheduled visit to the hospital- because he “likes getting check ups.” Thank God Jake Tapper (or as I like to call him- the Brick Tamland of his generation) is on the case hunting down clues in a book about my mom’s experience as First Lady four years ago.

Tons of furious responses to this, but many things that are objectively worse than AI or data centers, with as many or more visible harms, are not especially unpopular. The rapid backlash to this particular thing is a bit mysterious even if you agree the backlash is well-deserved.

Currently experimenting with flashing my passwords into a macro keyboard for one-key entry. Pros: At work, I have at any given time between five and fourteen individual passwords (dep on what I'm testing) all with slightly different insane requirements that must be changed every. three. months.

This is absolutely nuts: hackers are hijacking high-profile Instagram accounts by simply asking Meta's AI chatbot to change the email on the account. Meta's AI does it, hacker gets password reset code, they're in. A staggering security issue www.404media.co/hackers-simp...

Drop your crime-fighting Catholics:
Color photograph of actor Mark Williams in arguably his second-most iconic role (after Arthur Weasley in the Harry Potter film series), that of Father Brown in the wonderful British murder mystery series, “Father Brown.” He stands off-center in a lush field. In the background, there are trees and his hometown. He wears a black overcoat, black cassock, and priest’s collar, along with a wide-brimmed hat. He holds a curve-handled umbrella in both hands.

UPDATE: Letters from Leo can now independently confirm that the meeting took place — and that the Vatican was so alarmed by the Pentagon’s tactics that Leo shelved plans to visit America. Some officials saw their reference to an Avignon papacy as a threat to use military force against the Holy See.
