During the discourse about The Odyssey, I read through a few years of academic articles about adaptation and mostly what I learned is that there are multiple schools of thought about what adaptation is/should be and the one where a film should be faithful to the original text is very out of fashion.

Not only is this system astonishingly untested, USPS has simultaneously implemented an
impracticable zero percent failure rate.
