They mixing up Iowa and a NBA franchise is going to get all of the attention here, but it's worth stopping to reflect on. how bats**t the conspiracy theory posited - Smith went to an Atlanta Hawks game so it follows he met with Fani WIlliams - is, independent of how wrong he was on the details.

There is quite a bit of Prettyism (or whatever it’s really called) here, the assumption that an attractive person is inherently good/innocent. Ivanka Trump (and to an extent her vapid husband as well) is a prominent example, and mentioning this tends to attract aggressively point-missing reactions

I didn't used to be this cynical, but after a while you begin to notice that every time some kind of rape that isn't a literal stranger breaking into a home gets discussed it's met with tons of "you can't blame men for that" or "actually you're allowed to do that" from that entire ecosphere.
