It is *incredibly* shabby that the Green Party cited "family and personal reasons" for their Makerfield candidate dropping out, given it was actually in relation to sharing antisemitic posts. Had a right-wing party done the same, they'd be getting called out loudly here for it. And rightly so.

Reform would need a 7% swing (well within range for an opposition party) by reaching into Labour 2024, but that is reduced by reach of Burnham. Indeed Burnham as an idea has some appeal to Reform24 voters + Reform less likely to have differential turnout in this context bsky.app/profile/dyla...

Redwood country. There's a version of humility that only comes from standing at the base of something like this. #ForestFriday #scape #trees #photography #naturephotography #nature #landscapephotography #lookup #talltrees #forestfloor
A worm's-eye view straight up the trunk of a coastal redwood, its deeply furrowed, fibrous bark filling the frame as the tree tapers to a distant crown of feathery green branches fanned against a pale overcast sky. Surrounding redwoods close in at the edges, their canopies forming a broken ring overhead, with soft golden light filtering through the upper foliage, suggesting a forest that has been doing this for a very long time.
